I have sky sports scores App installed on my Samsung phone and tablet. I've had it for years and has been fine until a few months ago but now when I try to read the news stories I can see all the story headlines but if I click on one it takes me to a blank page. I've tried uninstalling and re installing. It worked once then stopped again. If I reboot the device it again works to start with but doesn't load up once I go in again .any idea's?

I get it all the time it's so annoying. I came here for a solution but I can share what works for me. You have to clear the cache and that gets it going but only for a short time. I find myself having to do it multiple times a day.
Just in case you don't know how to do that... long press the app icon, click the info button (letter i in a circle), go to storage and bottom right click clear cache.
Clear data doesn't do anything different as far as I can tell, you just have to re-set it up with followed teams etc which is a pain.

Sorry forgot to add, you have to swipe the app closed and then reopen for it to work again.

Go to app permissions settings for the app, untick Pause app activity if unused, and go to Battery usage and tick the Allowance background activity notch 👍🏽

hi Daniel, this fault was on both my phone(Samsung A42 5G, software version 12 ,UI 4.1) and tablet (Samsung tab A8 version 14, UI 6.1) Both devices updated automatically so i'm guessing latest versions.
I'm afraid I've now uninstalled the sky sports football scores app from both devices as it wasn't working but I had deleted and reinstalled it several times whilst trying to make it work so guesing the latest available.
The main part of the app was fine. I could get scores and see the news headlines but if trying to open a story i had a blank page.

I'm using Samsung S21 Ultra with android version 14. All you have to do to replicate is open it, use it to read some articles and leave it for a bit. When you go to use it a few hours later it won't load any article/commentary etc. Just a blank screen as the guy above said.

Same issue for me. Doing my head in. I have a Sumsing S23. Been doing it a few months now.

Same problem here.
Don't receive goal alerts either.
Samsung s23 ultra.
Originally was a problem and having to keep clearing the cache which worked.
But had to do this everytime I opened the app!
Now even that doesn't work!
Sky scores version 7.4.3
Android Version 14
Can view everything else in app such as news etc.
Had the issue for months.

Actually I tried the 1st part of what Romancer suggested earlier in the thread

So far so good. Certainly the best it's worked for a while.
I done this after i reinstalled it. Initially none of these step seemed to make a difference but seems to be working fine now. Fingers crossed. I will update later if this is permanently resolved.

Nope. That didn't work. Back to normal. Sky. Can you suggest a fix? There is clearly a bug with your app.
