Sky Sports App Bugs

The Sky Sports App seems to contain bugs.

 

I am a tennis fan and although Sky have drastically reduced coverage from what Amazon gave,  I took out the full sports package to at least be able to see what Sky's App does offer in being able to switch between matches.

 

I mostly watch on an iPad because in using the App via Sky Q on a TV, it changes between games like a snail , whereas the App will do so much more quickly via Sky Go on the iPad.

 

However, the bugs I find include the following variations (they all stop me from watching). 

 

1. States that I am watching on too many devices, when I am only on one.

2. Says there are errors.

3. Hangs up, showing the loading circle.

 

I have to sign out of the App and log back in with my Sky password to have any real chance of seeing a tennis match at all and if so, the App may work as intended for a day or so and then fail again.

 

I have been phoning Sky weekly for a month and have been advised that my case has been passed to a special team who are very busy and no promise of when they will get back to me has been given ...........

 

I asked if I could be given a discount because of the failure of the App, but was advised that the charge is for the channels on the main Sky system and that the App was free with that system, so a discount is not appropriate. What a great excuse I said!

 

I have done everything, including uninstalling  etc. etc. and am very unhappy with Sky at the moment.

 

Any advice welcomed.

@gehoc  Regarding point 1 you can only watch one concurrent stream via the sky sports mobile app at any one time 

 

Sky go and Sky go extra customers can stream on two concurrent devices but only one using the sky sports app or website the other must be via Sky go 

 

Sky Q multi screen and sky glass/stream whole home customers can stream on 4 concurrent devices but only one using the sky sports app or website the other 3 must be via Sky go

Thanks for your reply.

Note that I said that I only use one device at a time, so there is no reason, apart from a bug, for the App to fail.
