Earlier today, I tried to watch BBC 1 on BBC iPlayer. It asked me whether i have a tv licence. I just bought SKY Essential TV, so does that count or is it whole different thing? Just for additional information, I tried to watch the FA cup on Sky Go but I can't seem to find it, that's why I'm trying to use BBC iPlayer.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreTo watch live TV you need a TV licence as per the website here:

The live BBC channels will only show if the Sky Go app is connected to a Sky Q box and that the user has a multiscreen subscription.
