yahoo email interface
yahoo heve just changed the email user interface to be unusable. Half the screen on the right is blank (and dead - so icons inaccessible). Is there a way to transfer to another provider (eg gmail) and export my address book and folders? This would also involve alerting people to my change of email of course, so problematic, but from what I can glean from the web, yahoo changed for some users with the option to change back, but are now not allowing change baxk and have suddenly now imposed the new interface on everyone (I think)

Re: yahoo email interface
There is no easy way to move your emails over to Gmail as you woud either have to send them to that address one by one or use a program like Thunderbird where you set your Sky account as an imap one then after all your Sky emails have appeared change the settings and details to your Gmail address again using the imap settings.
You might be able to export your address book but I haven't looked into or done this myself but this link suggests it is possible:

Re: yahoo email interface
There has been no change to the Yahoo interface, as far as I have noticed, just where did you read differently?
Could you show us just what you mean about the changes (obscuring any personal info)?
Here's what mine looks like:

Re: yahoo email interface
Hi, my interface was very different up to today. No split screen (apart from the menu on the left) , just a list of incomings, which I would then click on to read. That worked fine for me - you could look down and deletete anything you clearly did not want and, if you opened one and deleted it, the next was immediately loaded
Earlier today, I just had a blank on the right, but now I get the emails on the right. There is still a great problem with this horrible format tho, as the reduced space on the left makes it a little more difficult with some emails to decide whether you want to look at it and, somtimes in the past when opened, part of the emails disappeared to the right and the reduced area on the right has made this worse , as it makes this more likely (I think, only one today, already deleted).
I was originally concerned about lack of access to the right hand side, because I had read online info that the change could be reversed by using the 3 dots. I I can now access them but there is no sign of an option to revert, or simply change to basic (which I might have been on already, but I am oviously not now). Surely with such a large change there should be some way to customize it to be more useer friendly.
Thanks for trying to help but your reply was rather disappointing as it appears that there isnt. I havent tried accessing my emails on my phone, but I suspect that will be an even worse nightmare.

Re: yahoo email interface
I am wondering if you were previously using basic email. This is what that looks like for me:
If so you can still switch back to it. Go to settings, more settings and on the left hand side the option to switch is there.
