@jayach thought this was a very good idea! I have just done it and the test email I sent myself into another email account is still showing the sender as my old company name! despite changing 'your name' in the settings.

Did you send it via the webmail?
It really seems impossible for it not to use that setting as the name if it is sent via the webmail.
The only possibility I can think of is you may have created alternate sending addresses in the past.
In this picture you can see I have created some alternatives, so check your setting there and see if you have anything similar.

@jayach yes i did send through webmail and i checked the page that you kindly screenshotted last night and it all looks fine, no alternative addresses. i think i will have to get someone in to help me as I don't think sky will be able to help or try and create another sky email address 😪 but i love the one i've got, ive had it for years and it's just my name, no numbers, so its perfect! i really appreciate the time you've put in to help me
