how to opt out of two step verification

i have just just  FOOLISHLY)  joined the two step varification. sign in for my  sky email.

but i find it hard work, i get a  code on my phone but i smetimes put it in wrong and have to 

start over ,i would much rather have the old email sign in back is this possible.

Yes, just log in using the recovery code that was sent to you after setting up 2FA, in place of your password.

You would have been sent an email when you opted into 2FA, on it will have been the recovery code so logout then login with this code.

I just tried to login & used this code instead of my normal email password & all I get is "Your password is incorrect....."

Im sick of this 2 step verification...help !

If you mean the Recovery code, you need to click the link 'can't use verification code' (or similar wording) on the login page, THEN you get the opportunity to enter the Recovery Code.

I do not see a verification link on a login page, I just get email/username and then password. I could try the reset password option but don't really want to if that doesn't work. I have a verification code email with the code but nothing about can't use or a link. BTW I'm using a desktop. This is plain crazy you can't easily opt back out. Help !

Shame it's going to keep asking me every login if I want this 2 way verification. Error no thanks, stop asking me !

Unfortunately it will keep asking.

 

Sky's implementation of 2FA is a pain in the backside.... You can avoid it by using an email app if it really irks you.
