iPhone @Sky.com email is still playing up - I've tried all the fixes and none of them last. I'm thinking of giving up my @sky.email it's too unreliable. Can't connect to server through Apple Nail even though setup goes through and I get Yahoo confirmation Have to keep deleting mail and readding it. Please please what's the fix!!!!!!!! Tried the app password and that doesn't work. HELP I'm going nuts

That's great - I thought it was me - Apple will refuse to acknowledge that it's their fault I'm sure. It's the Yahoo mail for a fix and reliability perhaps until there is a fix.

I have raised an official incident with Apple on my ticket number (can't quote it)
for those of you that want to check the email settings for Yahoo! XXXX servers then use the Apple facility on

just put in your @Sky.com email to check servers and ports

This is now a daily issue for me and as I am in the process of moving house and relying on quick access to important emails from solicitors and the like and these problems have already caused me significant difficulties. I have spoken to Apple they have checked everything and say it isn't a problem at their end.
Can Sky please confirm what action they have taken to try and resolve this for customers or provide evidence that the problem is at apple's end so customers can use this in their discussions with sky
This problem was reported by me many many months ago to Sky so the fact that it isn't resolved is unacceptable. This needs sorting asap please

It doesn't sound likely that it's a Sky issue, as email is working normally if you log in via the Sky website, and via other email apps and clients.On that basis there's probably nothing to fix from a Sky perspective.
If it's a daily nuisance, I'd suggest using a different app or logging in as above.

The clearly is some issue between sky and Apple that needs resolving in the meantime the paying customer is inconvenienced but hey it's about profit not delivering a proper service. It s very annoying and will no doubt influence my future with sky as provider of services

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Steve2212 try a different app to avoid the irritation. If you're thinking of ditching Sky anyway, now might be the time to switch to an alternative email provider - one not linked to an ISP, perhaps.

The email service is provided free. I doubt Sky make anything from it.
I'm sure they would like to dump it completely.

Just come across this thread..wonder of anyone has had any joy resolving it...I've had this problem for ages and nothing I've seen seems to fix it.

They seemed to coincide with an iOS update, so your guess is as good as anyones.

Sky have used Yahoo as an email provider for years now.

So Mark as an expert on this subject - why do you think that the issue is? All issues seem to be with authentication to the server. Could it be that yahoo are issuing additional authentication challenges that the other mail clients don't have. I've tried with the Application simple password and had limited success. Any ideas? Why if you uninstall and reinstall the mail client on Apple does it sometimes fix the issue?
