All of a sudden adverts are appearing in my email folders - why? I don't want them and certainly don't need them, surely crashing into my emails is a breach of my privicy. I do use Adblocker. Anyone know how to stop this?

If you're seeing ads in your Inbox folder(s) they're probably spam. Mark them as spam and over time they'll stop arriving.

Also restarting your browser may get it working again

You used to be able to turn them off, and also hide them. Sky Yahoo never advised anyone that they have now prevented you from turning off ads appearing in your Inbox Poor show Sky! You cannot mark them as spam - they are adverts, not emails. Basically Sky Yahoo want people to pay for the premium mail service that allows removal of such adverts.

Use an ad blocker. There's never been. Sky option to turn them off.

Well, I managed to turn them off in Sky Yahoo email Inbox for last 5 or 6 years. I never had an ad-blocker installed on my Opera Browser, other than Opera's 'Privacy Protection' and I believe either this managed to turn them off since 2018, unless I found a Setting to change in the Sky Yahoo Email Program which did the trick. Adverts also used to have a cross on them located top RHS to hide them - but that would be over 6 years ago because that was the last time I saw any adverts in my Inbox. Perhaps in 2024 Opera's 'Privacy Protection' is no longer effective at blocking them?
I am trialling 'ublock Origin' as we speak, seems to be working!
Thanks Mark

There is no premium Sky|Yahoo email, it it free, and always has been.

Okay. But when I right clicked on an advert in my Sky|Yahoo email Box I came to a Sky|Yahoo Advice Page on advertising. From there I clicked a link about paying to remove ad content, which took me to a webpage:
Overview of Yahoo Mail Plus
Yahoo Mail Plus offers a premium email experience on both desktop and mobile.
So from what you are saying, Yahoo Mail Plus would only apply to my Yahoo email Account, not my SkyYahoo email Account?

Yes, if you have one. It would be completely separate to your Sky email account.
