Unable to setup sky yahoo email account on ios

I have a sky email address i have had for over 20 years and have had access to it all the time even when i left Sky. The old sky id used when setting this email address was deleted. I now have rejoined sky with a new sky id linked to a gmail address and can see my original sky yahoo emails when i log into my sky account on the website and send from there, but i cannot get the account setup on my ipad. Any suggestions before i phone up and sit is a queue for hours.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@JohnQuick

When you set it up try selecting Yahoo as the provider.

You might need to generate and use a 16 digit password instead of your usual one:

https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps?client=email

If that doesn't work then try this:

Try selecting "Other" then use these settings:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

You will then need to generate a 16 digit password and use that instead of your usual one, you can do that here:
https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps?client=email

Re: Unable to setup sky yahoo email account on ios

Tried both of these methods but when i try to generate an app password i get a message that says "You can't access this page because you don't currently have a Sky Yahoo Mail account.". Which is crazy as ican read my emails on skys website.
