Email dropping out problems with "Cannot get mail - the connection to the server failed" only appears to happen when I am home and so must relate to sky problem. When I am out it doesn't happen !!

Until this has been fixed you will have to access your emails via an alternative method like logging into the Sky website or downloading and using the Outlook or Yahoo email apps and using either of these instead.

Its nearly May 23 and still getting issues with connection to server using Mail on Mac & IOS
Is there any fix yet? as somedays its ok and some days its not! Very Frustrating!

Having much the same problem.
Using Apple Mail (Version16.0) on my Macbook Air yesterday it was working today it doesn't.
Tried to use an "app password" (https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps?client=email) but that has not worked despite trying sevreal times.
I can get mail through the web browser but via Apple Mail it just won't recognise my password (neither my original nor the "app generated one".
Can still get mail through my ihone using the Mail app.
Why is Yahoo making this so damn difficult ?

@Mark39 Well Apple Mail seems to be working on my ipad, my phone and my desktop computer but not on my laptop.

Sky Yahoo Mail works fine using a browser, and there are no problems with using various mails apps on Android devices. It's only Apple Mail which produces intermittent results. Elsewhere, Apple Mail have confirmed that they're aware of the issue.

If the generated password isn't working I would suggest re- adding the Sky account to the app, making sure it is recognised as a yahoo account. It shouldn't need a generated password that way.

Hi. I am using an IPhone 14 and an IPad Pro for reading emails and for the last few months I've been having the same problem with "connection failure Yahoo server" on both. The problem was intermittent but recently its happening more than 50% of the time.
Any ideas please.
