I have a domain hosted by fasthosts and have email forwarding set up to forward to my Sky email address(es). I have had this set up fpr many years with no issues. In the last couple of days I have noticed that I am not receiving expected emails. They are not in the spam folder. Some emails are coming through but not many and I know there are specific emails from various senders that have be re-sent and still not received.
Fasthosts have advised that they are seeing issues with emails forwarded to Sky/Yahoo as they are being rejected by Sky. They can't guarantee that they will be re-sent as they have been rejected by Sky. Fasthosts are currently trying to find a workaround but say the issue is with Sky.
Has anyone else had this issue with email forwarding?

Re: Sky/Yahoo rejecting forwarded emails
Hi,
The same is happening to me. I'm also with Fasthost and I'm seeing emails forwarded to Yahoo being rejected.

Re: Sky/Yahoo rejecting forwarded emails
I have just been onto the Sky supoprt chat, they have advised:
From our side, Sky email services sometimes temporarily block or filter forwarded emails if the sending server triggers a security flag for example, if the SPF/DKIM settings on the sender’s domain aren’t fully aligned, or if the server is incorrectly marked as suspicious. This can cause emails to bounce or never appear in the inbox. I really wish I could fix the filtering directly for you, but Sky’s email platform has strict automated security rules to prevent spoofing and spam.
Just to reassure you, Sky isn’t blocking your emails because they’re spam. What’s happening is usually related to a recent change on the sending server’s side for example, a security update from Fasthosts or a change in how forwarded emails are authenticated. When this happens, Sky’s system may temporarily reject messages even if they’re legitimate.
The hosting provider can see the exact reason in their mail logs, including the SMTP bounce code and the message returned by Sky’s server. If you ask Fasthosts for the following information, they’ll be able to pinpoint the cause right away:
- The SMTP bounce/rejection code
- The full rejection message returned by Sky’s server (e.g., mx-b.sky.com)
- Whether the forwarding IP failed SPF, DKIM, or DMARC authentication
- Any blocklist or reputation flags on the sending server
Once Fasthosts provide that information, they can update the authentication settings or routing so Sky accepts the emails again. Please don’t worry—issues like this are usually resolved quickly once they have the bounce details.
