I have reached the limit of 30 passwords on the Sky password generator for yahoo email. I cannot find a way to delete previous passwords from my account. I have been into my security settings but no options are availabe. Can anybody help please?

Hi, I am in the same boat. My e-mail - Thunderbird - has been asking for a new password for the last few days and having gone onto Sky to generate one each time, I now seem to have reached the limit allowed by Sky / Yahoo. Cannot find a solution online, either at Sky nor Yahoo. Yahoo, however seems to have a link for re-setting but this keeps on going back to the Sky page telling me I have reached the limit. Any ideas anyone?

However, as you are using Thunderbird, you don't need to use generated passwords as it is OAuth compatible.

Thanks Jayach. Just tried altering the server settings in Thunderbird for the Authentication Method - from the "Normal Password" to "OAuth2" - and I have a pop-up saying that the "selected authentication method" is not supported.
"OAuth" is not available on the drop-down menu. Available ones are Normal password, Encrypted password, Kerberos / GSSAPI, NTLM, TLS and OAuth2.

So imap.mail.yahoo.com and smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
Here's a screenshot I took a while ago.

Thanks a million Jayach
Up and running again now I have changed the details to the Yahoo ones and the OAuth2 basis.

I would suggest asking Google.

Did anyone get to the bottom of this problem?
I have reached ther '30' limit of generated 16 digit passwords and it appears there is nothing that can be done to get any more passwords.
I have tried contacting Sky but they dont seem to understand the problem.

I personally investigated all routes and hacks to get around it, but without results, Sky & Yahoo dont seem to reply to emails, so not sure where to go from here

Thanks for that jackieburne, i have tried contacting Sky but no one seems to haver a clue what im talking about despite it being a 'limit' apparently set by them. Makes Sky mail redundant on some applications, which seems a shame as ive used tyhat email address for ages now. Also, had i knownm there was a limit i would have been more frugal with the use of the generator. If you ever get a resolution please let me know. Thanks

Agree, I have had my @Sky.com email for 30 + years and really like the short efficiency of it, so still fighting to keep if possible.
Does anyone know a good contact who is e-mailable, that I can start lobbying with pictures of issue etc, as it cannot just be ourselves that this is affecting ?
