Signing into YAHOO MAIL a Code is sent to on SMS my mobile

I share a YAHOO EMAIL account with my Wife, but our contact details and profiles reflects only my Mobile Number.

When my wife requires to access email(s) following log in, a Security  Code is sent to MY Profile Mobile Numberfor confirmation

of identity, this leaves my wife to find me (and my mobile) to answer the Security Code.

If I am away from home (and my Wife) then she cannot access the Email.

I have already spoken with SKY on this problem and explained the issue, I have also suggested that my Wifes Mobile number is

added (and LINKED TO MY MOBILE NUMBER) to my Profile and Account Details.

A Choice (Tick Box)  of either these TWO NUMBERS  (Mine or my WIFES) could then be selected (by the user) and the Security Code sent to that person.

As the previous replies say, the email service isn't really designed for multiple people to access it.

However if you turn off the 2FA (and choose "maybe later" when signing in so it isn'r re-enabled) you will be both be able to access it using only the email address and password.

Another option, depending on the device(s) she uses, is to set-up her access via a client/app, and that will not require being signed into every time.

It would be easier for you if your wife was to have her own email address as there really isn't a way around this as I doubt Yahoo are going to change how this works due to your set up. As this is a Yahoo issue then it isn't related to Sky email in any way.

@kimberlin I agree with @caesarome that the only solutions to this are either for you and your wife to have separate email accounts or to turn off 2 step login.

The 2 step login system simply isn't designed to accommodate shared accounts, nor will it be changed to do so.
