That doesn't seem right, it's highly unlikely most people who buy a new phone would have a Sky email address. so they must be able to use an alternative one.

Hi I have raised formal complaints, as that just isn't good enough however today I have managed to find a work around, firstly you can ask for the verification code to be sent to some one you trust who also has a sky mobile and get the codes that way, secondly if you go into your sky account and change your contact email to an alternative email address which I have done you can ask the system to send emails / codes to that email account so basically I have done skys job for them, I'm finally in my sky email and will be clearing it out to my new and trusted email account so I never have this issue again hopefully, I was also sent a recovery code which is now noted and stored safely, my new eSIM has been activated and my new phone connected to my data plans.
i hope this helpful to all sky email users who are experiencing the same nightmare I have over the past three weeks

Glad you were able to get your problems solved.

I'm sure your new email service will be more responsive than Sky.

Sky's email is very much a "legacy" service (in that it is no longer available to new users) and is used by dwindling numbers, so is poorly understood by the agents.

So the verification texts are not coming through ?

Is the last 3 digits of the phone number that are shown onscreen correct a dn if they are have you looked in the spam section of your messaging app ?

@kmcanespie you've posted in two separate threads, which makes it difficult to understand the issue you're having. 

When you log in via the link below, is your username and password accepted, and do you then see the screen asking you to enter the Verification Code sent to you? And Is the partial mobile number shown, your mobile number, as @caesarome asked?

My user name & password is accepted, it then forces me to enter mobile number to setup 2 step verification but no verification codes are reaching my phone, they are not in spam/junk messages either.
