Nintendo switch won’t connect

Can anyone advise how I can get my switch to work on glass air - it shows up but says it to move to hdmi 3 and turn on older devices which I have but still don't work

Try powering off the switch then attaching the dock to the tv via hdmi 

 

then place the switch in the dock and then power it on
