Issue adding Sky Mail on New Phone

Hi all,

I have a frustrating issue that I can't seem to find any help on and have been going round and round in circles between Yahoo and Sky.

I have a new iphone and have been trying to set up the Yahoo mail app. I can add the primary sky email but this is not the address I use as my main account. I have used this account without issue for years on previous phones and on my ipad but now cannot add it to the app. When I try and add another mailbox I enter my sky email address then it tells me I can no longer get a new sky email address and takes me to Sky sign in.

If I try and add it using 'Other' as suggested it just takes me back o the same screen and the same loop.

I have been able to add a gmail app without issue. 

I have been able to add this account to the ios mail app without issue so it looks like an app problem.

To make matters worse I just deleted and reinstalled the app and now the account is also missing from my old phone 😞

If I have to use the mail app rather than yahoo I will but it's frustrating that it doesnt just work, plus I am familiar with the app many many years of using it.

Update edit.

I have just tried my ipad and this let me add the second email but removed the first and won't let me add the other one again. It seems I can now only have one of my emails at once on the app!

If you are using the Yahoo email app try using the Outlook email app instead.

I'm using the ios mail app for now but am worried I will lose access to this email which I have used as my main email for 15 years. There doesn't seem to be any clear route for help as Sky and Yahoo just point to each other.

@KPG Sky only remove access to inactive accounts. Regardless of the app you're using, whether it's the iOS Mail app or the Yahoo app or any other, you need to log in via sky.com at least once a uear, to avoid your Sky Yahoo Mail account being deemed inactive and subsequently deleted.

Only Sky support Sky Yahoo Mail. Don't waste your time seeking help from Yahoo.

the problem account is the one I have used everyday for over 15 years now. If I try and add it to Yahoo now it takes me to sky and tells me I can't create a new account. I guess it's an issue with the app as I can add it to other mail apps so I'll have to swithc apps.

Sorry, should have added that my main concern now is that I can't access this account to manage it. I can use it to send and receive but can't log in to do anything with it.

Hi,

I can't log in that way at the moment as it says my password is wrong and I haven't got access to the email for a rest until I get home. I will try again later.

I am also unable to get past the initial log in screen when trying to add sky mail to Gmail app. Tried adding as other and Yahoo, various passwords including generated ones.  Has worked in the past but now something has changed ? 

Not a big problem but annoying.
