Is this a Scam?

Is anyone else getting emails that you requested to shut down your mailbox when you didn't???

Just checked my mail today and shows 2 suspicious ones ....  first one that came in 10.48am today ...said from tomorrow sky users will not be able to access their mail and you have to click on a link to verify. It's supposedly from Sky Admin but does not address me by my account name or account number.!

second  send shortly after at 11.02 am today ....says its already been terminated!   Both are coming from a yahoo address....seems dodgy to me ....didn't click on anything...do I still report to abuse@sky.com ???

..and surely if they were closing EVERYONES sky mail from tomorrow they would have given customers more notice????

Anyone else had emails like this today or any other time in the past??

They're an attempt to scam you. Just mark the messages as spam.

The link will take you to a fake login page designed to capture your username and password for an unauthorised person to use.

These emails are scam ones as there is no such sender a "Sky admin". Sky would only close down inactive email accounts that haven't been used for a while and even then they would ask you to click a link to keep them open so keep marking these emails as spam.

You can forward them to the abuse email address if you like but in all honestly there is no way Sky can stop these from being sent.
