Am not getting emails in Apple mail app

Am still not getting emails today using Apple mail. I've tryed the so call generator but when I try add my email in Apple mail it then doesn't reconise my generate password. I followed all the instructions that Ai t spot on right of what I should have on Apple mail so I add with my old email back to nothing Coming!! I give up or I'm doing something wrong help

You are doing nothing wrong because as stated there are ongoing issues with the Apple app and Sky/Yahoo emails accounts. So to access your emails until this is fixed either install the Outlook or Yahoo email apps.

Are they aware of the problems then??? It's very weird as my old sky email is sending and receiving emails just not the one I use for everything Thankyou hopefully there fix it.

By all means raise it with Apple.

Another member did contact Apple about it but the more people that do this the better. Whether it will be fixed soon is anybodies guess....

yes, I have had problems so I deleted the account on my iphone and now it will not let me add the account back.

I can log in online perfectly fine so I have changed my password but still cannot add the mailbox back on my iphone.

People posting the details with the socket number (my iphone doesnt show this any longer)

I had a similar problem adding my wife's sky email back into Apple Mail. It kept refusing to show the blue save button on top right of screen.

However,after leaving the device alone for a few hours when I tried again the add account worked properly and has worked almost faultlessly since.

I wonder if Apple have a security lock on repeated attempts to add the same account  back in.

Pure speculation on my behalf but they do have delays built in if too many incorrect passwords are entered when accessing the device.

I imagine Sky see it as an Apple issue, bearing in mind that other email apps work perfectly ok, as does online access to Sky Yahoo Mail. It appears to be uniquely an Apple issue. As to why Apple aren't looking at it, I've no idea. But as it has been going on for months, it would appear that they're not interested.
