Incorrect telephone number for sending mail code
We only have one desk top computer and my husband and I both receive our emails on it through Yahoo. Our mobile numbers are one digit different but when my husband puts in his password after his email address, it comes up with my mobile number for the text to be sent. On his account it is showing his correct mobile number.
I cannot get anyone at Sky to sort this out and the chat line just asks if I want to cancel. All we want is for Yahoo to recognise his mobile number even though it shows on the link to get into Yahoo.

Re: Incorrect telephone number for sending mail code
To confirm are your email addresses Dly ones so they end with Sky.com or are they a Yahoo one ?
If they are with Sky then this isn't a Yahoo issue so see if your husband can set it to his number with the help of this link:
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Incorrect telephone number for sending mail code
I'm assuming these are both Sky email addresses.. (as that is what this forum is about)
I suspect the problem is that you are both using the same browser and each are not signing out fully, after using your respective email accounts.
Make sure you each fully sign out before the other tries to sign in, and if shouldn't be a problem
However the "remember me for 30 days" option won't work, so I suggest you each use a different browser, and the problem won't exist.

Another thought is that he really does have your number registered on his account.
It is not possible to see the number registered as it is not shown anywhere in the account. (ridiculous eh.)
Fortunately, if that is the case, you can correct the number yourselves.
If logging out fully/trying a different browser doesn't work, we can talk you through correcting his number. (that is only possible because you will still have access to the wrong number)
Is he able to get his emails, after the code is sent to yout phone?

Re: Incorrect telephone number for sending mail code
Thank you. I managed to change his contact number to the correct one some time ago and when we look at his account it is now correct. He managed to get into his emails this morning by using my number for the getting the code.
Not impressed with the lack of being able to speak to a techno at Sky.

As I said. there is no way to see what number is being used via the account.
If he uses a different browser, one you have not used before, and he tries to log in on that, the number it uses will be the one stored in his account.
Try that, and see what number it uses, and let us know.
