Re: How to stop incoming emails going in trash folder
Can you explain what you mean by 'upgraded'? I ask because there have been no upgrades for Sky Yahoo Mail.

Without a doubt, the upgrade you think you did, was in fact giving your credentials to a scammer.
You now need to try to regain access to your account.
The first thing you will need to do is to change the password, if you can do that you will then need to correct the changes the scammer has made.

@Jacquie9 I agree with @jayach . Setting up a filter to move your incoming emails to the Trash folder is one of the things we see regularly reported here when someone has unauthorised access to your email account.

Re: How to stop incoming emails going in trash folder
I lost access to my email account, so contacted sky, who help me retrieve it, and a day later is when I noticed my incoming emails were going into trash folder

That's good presumably they had you change your password.
That should lock the scammers out, so you now need to correct the changes they have probably made.
So, logged into Sky|Yahoo mail (preferably on a desktop browser, not a mobile) go to Settings - More settings - Filters and remove any you find there.
Also check under Settings - More settings - Mailboxes, select your Sky mailbox and check the Reply-to address hasn't been changed.
Those are the changes the scammers usually make, so after that it should be O.K.
