How do I remove the link between my SKY ID and a PC?

My SKY email account was not working on my iPhone and IPad so I asked a friend to help.  She used her work laptop to log into SKY in order for us to access her Sky account.   On trying to update my details we found that my Username changed to her work email address and email notifications about changes to my Sky account only go to her work email address.  We are using Yahoo mail in the interim as a solution but we need to remove the linkages between SKY and my friend's laptop.  I also need my email address to work on my IPhone and my IPad as I do not want to rely solely on the Yahoo app.

@Jan22a I'm afraid I can't give you specific instructions as I've never used the Mail app. or an Apple device. Perhaps another Community member who has an iPhone or an iPad can help, or try the help on your Iphone etc

I can only guess that Mail has a setup menu somewhere, where you would select your Sky Yahoo email account and then be able to updated your password.

Re: How do I remove the link between my SKY ID and a PC?

Just an update, I have logged into Sky with my friend's work username and changed it to mine.  No notification of doing this was sent to her email address or mine.  The issue of not being able to access my SKY email on my apple devices remain the same.

You say you can't access your email account on your iPhone and iPad but you haven't said what is actually happening and how you access your email account on them both, so for example do you use the email app on them or do you login to the Sky website ?

@Jan22a ask your friend to log out of all Sky website, including Sky Yahoo Mail and close any Sky windows that are open. Then she needs to clear her browser cache. That should deal with the link between your account and her laptop.

As @caesarome posted we'll need to know more about what's happening when you try to use your iPhone etc, Have they provided access to your Sky Yahoo email account before? What error message do you see?

Re: How do I remove the link between my SKY ID and a PC?

@caesarome  Thank you for your quick response.  So usually the sky emails are viewed through iPhone - apple email app.  I do not access emails using Sky.com on my iPhone or iPad as I use the apple email apps.   The problem started when we used my friend's work laptop to look at the emails by signing into SKY.com. Because the SKY password needed changing we did so but it changed the user name to the laptop email address (my friend's work email address).  Since doing this I can no longer receive any emails on my iPhone or IPad apple apps.  I can log into SKY.com on the laptop and receive emails there. I have also downloaded the Yahoo app on my iPhone and can access emails there.   On looking at the iPhone settings for the email app it seems to correctly reflect the Yahoo server so I think the settings are correct.  I hope this makes sense.

Have you updated the password in the Mail app on your iPhone and iPad to the new one?

@Mark39  Hi Mark, thank you.  I think the cache removal has done the job.  My emails are back on my iPhone.  Thank you so much and have a great weekend.
