If you are still using the Apple Mail app, you need to use a different app until Apple resolve the problem. (which will probably be never)

We both use i-pads so I guess we do use the Apple one. Not sure how I change that, I'm not too technical, silly old pensioner. Any help appreciated. 👍

On your device should be an app called Apple Store, go to this and in the search box enter Outlook and install this and set up your account as a Yahoo one when it asks who your provider is.

I'm not 100% sure Apple is the problem (but it could be?) as my iCloud account is flawless and emails arrive instantly. Same with my Exchange account.  My @yahoo.co.uk account works flawlessly too.  The problem account - which is my main account - was previously a Sky account and became Yahoo.  Now it crashes (can't reach the server) several times a day and, sometimes, is down for several hours.

Couple of observations: (1) the Yahoo account is flawless on my iMac.  The problem is with my iPhone and iPad.  (2) I don't get any issues when I'm away from home using 4G and 5G.

I already use Outlook for my work account so I'm not sure I could use it to set another account up?

On the other hand, all other email apps, other than Apple's work flawlessly with Sky.....

A couple of observations from my point of view.

Sky email is hosted on Yahoo (and has been since 2013) but is not a Yahoo account.

Yes, it does only seem to be the iOS version of Apple Mail which has problems connecting to the server.

It is interesting that you don't have problems when on 4G or 5G.
