I'm trying to get back to a normal login after switching two-step verification on by mistake - I should pay more attention when I know there's a trap waiting for me to benefit Sky Yahoo.
Tried using my username & the recovery code. The error message tells me the password is incorrect. Is this the correct procedure?
Any suggestions?

Two factor authentication is when you login to the Sky website so if you use something else like an app or program like Outlook you will not be asked for a code.

@TapeHead no, that's not the way to do it. Tap on 'can't sign in with code' and then you'll be prompted to enter your Recovery Code.
However, it's pointless, I'm afraid as 2 step login is now mandatory, so you'll only be required to set it up again when you try to log in.

You didn't switch this on by mistake as it has been enabled for all us by Sky.
If you have access to your recovery code then use the "can't sign in with code" link at the bottom of the page to enter it. You will however have to enter your verification code again next time you login.
A slight way around this is to tick the "remember me" option and if you do not logout you should be kept logged in for the next 30 days.

The problem I have described appears on my laptop where I access Sky Yahoo via a browser. I also have all Sky Yahoo mail re-directed to an email client on a desktop. This does not involve the new login procedure - at the moment?
