Using Windows Live Essentials 2012.
When I open it up and it goes to Sky / Yahoo email server for emails, it downloads emails I already have.
I have deleted them within Live and removed them from the deleted items, and even though I have "remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted items' " checked, the emails do not get removed from the Sky server. And get downloaded again and again and again.
I had the same problem with Gmail, but putting 'recent:' infront of the user name cured that problem. But it does not work with Sky.
Anyone have an idea what can cure my problem - save having to go the Sky server and manually deleteing them?
Is there a version of 'recent:' in the usrename for Sky / yahoo?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWow, still using Live Mail that is long since discontinued. (says someone still using Outlook 2003)
I no longer have a copy of live mail to check, but the setting you should use is probably "Leave a copy of emails on the server" (or words to that effect) but have it unchecked.
They only problem is it will mean all emails download will be removed, so if you want a copy left on the server that wont work.
The other alternative is to use IMAP. (or a newer client)
