Email unknown error can't sign in

Is there a problem with yahoo email

Try clearing your browsers cashe and cookies then close and reload it as you might then find you can get logged in.

Accessing Sky/Yahoo email on laptop

Today when I try to log on to Sky email on my laptop, I get the message 'An unknown error has occurred'. Why?

If we knew, it wouldn't be an unknown error.

Try clearing cache and cookies in your browser, or try a different browser.

I've had the same this afternoon, for no apparent reason - using the same log in link I've been using for ages.

 

Cache clear didn't resolve the issue, but I was able to access email using the main Sky.com website, logging in and going to the Yahoo Mail option.


My guess is they're having some sort of technical problem this afternoon, it seems to happen every so often.

Edited to add: aha - using the direct link above now takes me to Yahoo Mail, not Sky. Was ok earlier. Will check for a cookies issue.

 

Edited to add further: clearing cookies fixed it.

I've had this again this morning after it worked perfectly later yesterday and again first thing this morning. Very random.

 

Clearing the cache has resolved this time, let's hope this doesn't become a regular occurrence as it's really irritating (albeit not the end of the world!)

There must be a problem at Sky/Yahoo. On a different thread I had this yesterday without obvious reason, then again this morning. 

clearing my cache worked and allowed me to log in, but multiple people reporting the same thing indicates (to me at least!) a wider problem. This is unlikely to be a coincidence imho...
