Email hacked

Friday 20th September sky - yahoo email hacked.

several very long phone calls with Sky to try to resolve.

Problem is I have no access to my email and the hacker does.

How can I shut it down completely?

You can ask Sky to delete it, but it may be a challenge finding an adviser who knows how to do it.

Whoever got access to your account will have probably gained access to it after someone in error provided the login details to a scam email that are being sent out as that apart they don't usually get hacked.

I know that I received a message asking me to reset the password and download the Yahoo app. That was a fatal error on my part

To be clear is this your Yahoo email account or your Sky email account that you can not access ?

Sky.com is now a yahoo email account

Skys email service is run by Yahoo but is still a Sky email account so as per the question asked earlier by @Mark39 what is happening when you try to login to it via the link posted ?

To keep trying for 48 hours and then call back if it still doesn't open. 
but I still get this every time

Does your email account end in @Anonymous.com or @Sky.com ?

You appear to be logging in via Yahoo, which is not right.

Use your browser (Chrome, Edge etc) to log in via the link I posted earlier. Before logging in, close ALL sky website, and empty your browser cache (cookies, temporary internet files etc)

It would still be helpful to know what Sky said. when you called.

They took me right back to the Sky login, cleared my browsing history, sent me a link to use, even closed my device and started again.

 still shows the error message above every time
