Deleted emails are suddenly being permanently deleted

Recently I have discovered that my deleted emails are being permanently deleted. I have lost everything but the last few weeks of deleted emails this way. i keep all my emails in the deleted folder, and in the past i would go back to a deleted email to check something or retrieve information. I can no longer do this. This has happened previously and I needed to hcange a setting but I can't see one for this in my account. id be grateful if someone can support. I have lost some much informaiton that I rely on.

Yahoo removes all emails out of the delete folder after 30 days or so as it isn't designed to store emails.

To save your emails you should set up seperate folders and then move them to it when you have finished with them in the inbox.

You do understand the meaning of deleted?

You delete something when you no longer want it. The fact Yahoo gives you 30 days or so to change your mind is a bonus, but shouldn't be relied upon.

Archive is a better option if you may want to return to it later. That folder shouldn't be at risk of "clearing".
