Someone else’s emails

I don't use sky yahoo because my account seems to be linked to a person selling through an eBay shop.  I have previously had conversations with tech guys and they couldn't sort it out.  Can I just ditch yahoo altogether?

Yes just set up an email address somewhere else if you don't already have another one. Gmail or Outlook.com are two possible alternatives.

Many thanks for your reply.  I already have alternative email addresses which I use.  The main problem is that my email address is receiving messages sent to someone trading on eBay.  I have over 500 emails listed which have been sent by the trader. I have today tried to delete the sky email address but won't allow me to do it.  Life is a mystery!

If you don't plan to use Sky email account anymore then do not login into it as after a while (possibly quite a while) it will be deleted by Sky.

Thank you for your response.  I haven't logged in for over two years so not really a problem, but I shouldn't receive other people's messages.  
I have to tell you that a couple of years ago I actually spoke to someone at yahoo about this and they had no idea how or why this is happening.

 I looked out of interest this week and noticed an email intendedfor me regarding secondary security sign in which I had just set up,this prompted me to look to delete this email address.  I will contact sky tomorrow .

You might not get very far with them as the have pretty much nothing to do with the email service which is why it was outsorced to Yahoo a number of years ago.
