Changing password

Hi, hoping someone can help, its not for me, its for my husbands account. He has sky email on his iphone and wants to add the email to his new ipad as well but he has forgotten his password. To reset his password, it says he can have it sent to his email but he is worried it wont go to his existing sky email account but the account he used years ago when he set the sky email up (btinternet). He doesnt want to lose access to his sky account so is wary of doing this! I feel pretty sure it should go to the email address he is changing the password on but if I am wrong he will not have access to all his important mails and it will be my fault of course! Haha!

Can anyone advise please. many thanks.

The reset email would go to his Bt email address if that what he has setup on his account as his backup address.

 

How does your access his email account on his phone does he login to the Sky website or does he use an email app ?

If he goes onto the email app depending on what device he is using he might be able to locate his password in the settings somewhere so this might be worth a try.

 

As the only other would be logging into his online account here and changing the Bt email address to something else but the issue is he would need to know the password:

The only thing he can do is to call Sky to ask them to update household/communication email on his account, don't mention Sky email as it is the account email that needs updating. This will mean he will need another non Sky email address to change it to.
