Change password and turn on two step verification

Seriously, it cannot be this difficult to change my Email password and trun on two step verification. I have spent nearly an hour looking for a 'enter your new password' screen but am just going round in circles.

I think that 2 step verification is now on but my account is showing as locked now and I never did find a way to enter a new password.

PLEASE HELP!!

Hopefully the previous replies have enabled you to change your password.

However if your account is still locked, please explain just what you mean by that.

Personally I would never use Sky's 2FA, without a way to administer it should you lose access to the phone number, it's too prone to causing problems.

I agree. The issue is that in those circumstances and others, the only user option is to use the Recovery Code. The critical importance of the Recovery Code is not made clear when you set up 2 step verification. It's all too easy to just tick the box to say you've made a note of it without doing so. It should be in bold flashing red letters on screen.

Even if people do make a note of the recovery code, 2 years down the line, are they going to remember where it is?

They should if they record it properly ie have a spreadsheet or document or book that contains anything of such importance ie passwords account numbers etc of any services they have

I do something similar
