Can't gain access to Yahoo/Sky email on my Mac

Have always been able to access my Yahoo/Sky email on my desktop no problems until yesterday. Now telling me it can't authenticate my email try again later.... been doing this for ages now. Tried two step verification but no luck. Spent 30 mins on the help line. They tried a few things but nothing worked (they then cut me off!). I can gain access to my emails on my iPhone and via the website.

is there anything I can do to get my emails working on my desktop?

How are you trying to access your emails on Desktop, if not via the website?

Edit: Sorry just noticed the title says Mac, so presumably you are trying to setup Apple Mail.
