My Sky yahoo email account has logged out. However when I attempt to log back in, I am not receiving the 6 digit verification code on my mobile no (this has never happened before.
i have contacted Sky, on the phone for 53 minutes, was put through to 5 different technicians, then got cut off. So frustrated.
PLEASE HELP 🤷🏼♀️

If you have the recovery code (that you were asked to keep safe) when you setup the verification then you can use that to login to turn it off which should get you access.
To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

The problem is the account is years old & I can't remember the recovery code !

Sky recommended you made a separate note of it. If you didn't do that you'll have to persevere with calling them for help, I'm afraid.

Sky/Yahoo only started the verification and recovery code around a year or so. If you do not have access to the account via an app or a program like Outlook (to look for the recovery code) then try the option here (to turn it off):

To see if that text will come through, if it doesn't you will need to call Sky.

Same here.
Sends a 6 digit code to the very same email address it's locked me out of!!
How the (Removed) are you supposed to get a code from the email inbox Sky have kindly logged us out of!!
Trying to run a small business and cannot access emails!!

The 2 step log in process doesn't send a Verification email. That would make no sense. It sends a text message to the mobile number you gave when ypu set it up

That is completely diferent to the OP's problem.
It sounds like that may be Yahoo sending the verification code, it has been reported before.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easy way to resolve it.
