SKY EMAIL not downloading on iPad/iphone

My emails are not downloading from the Sky server when using the mail app on my iPad/iPhone, I can only read my mails by logging into the website, is this a temporary issue or is it long term??

It probably depends on Apple to fix it. There are several posts here from other customers usong Apple Mail with the same problem, which appears to have started following an IOS update. Apple are reportedly working on it.

Have you checked to see if both devices are running the latest software ?

This topic is discussing email issues @Bawnmore5 so what issue are you having, do you have no Wifi connection as your post isn't very clear as to what your issue is ?

My emails are showing "This message has not been downloaded from the server" on my iPhone SE and my mini iPad 5; both are running iOS 16.2. This is through the Mail apps - through the browser they download fine. I've already deleted and reinstalled and spoken to Mac engineers.

Yep having the same problem. Deleted account and reinstalled yesterday. Worked great. Today back to square one. Not downloading and saying can't connect to server. Running latest iOS software on iPad.

whats going on apple. Any update.

Have you created an app specific password for the account?
When you set up the account in the mail app did you use the other option & enter the details manually or use the Yahoo option?

Wouldn't allow me to use Yahoo. Had to use other. Put in all details password etc. just says it may not allow me to send or receive emails. 
As I haven't been receiving emails properly for a week or so so last night decided to offload my sky email address from my iPad and reinstalled. Emails come tumbling down . Thought I'd cracked it, but today back to square one. Tried offloading and reinstalling today now it won't connect.

when I saw other posts saying the same sort of problem thought it might be apple and sky not talking for some reason.

Yes, numerous posts here about intermittent problems with the Apple Mail app. Other email apps like Yahoo work fine.

Okay guys by using the yahoo option in setting up the sky mailbox it has connected. It's now downloaded all todays emails.

Yes, the Yahoo settings are what worked for me. The older tools.sky settings seem to no longer be applicable since Sky started using Yahoo email platform.
