3rd party app password for my sky.co email

Hi all having a lot of trouble finding the sky website that generates the 18 digit password to allow log in the in, in my case Mozilla Thunderbird. which suddenly stopped working the other day, its now requesting a password......I've  logging in with my normal password to the site below, it just reports connecting error...spoke to sky today and they don't know what im talking about,  I still have my wife's email on Thunderbird so I know its not the app playing up anyone experienced this and did you find the cure, I don't really like logging into the sky website to collect my emails

@Tony_N Sky have removed the ability to generate app passwords, I'm afraid. 

But you should be able to select OAuth2 authentication in Thunderbird, which will allow you to log in with your normal Sky email address and password.

References to the app password generator should have been removed from the Sky website, but they can't be responsible for out of date info elsewhere, including in this forum. But yes, I suppose they could have a notice that says it has been withdrawn, instead of a nondescript error message.

Hello, I notice your response that there is no password generator now - I too have been going around in circles looking for it having just changed my phone with the email app on my new phone asking for an app password.

Any suggestion what I can do in this scenario?  thank you
