2 step cverification is perment according to the person on phone they have to do it by law is what they are telling me. So sky can go **bleep** themself not using 6 digit code everytime to check emails

That is correct it is, still at least there are alternatives out there that do not use it....

@jamie+edwards fair enough. GMail currently doesn't enforce 2FA, so might be an option for you.
