accessing skyemail

I want to access my email account .

I am no longer with sky.

They have the wrong mobile number for me and keep sending a verification code to it which I can't use so I can't get on my emails .

How do I sort this out?

@RA284 at the bottom of the 'set up 2 step verification' page, there's a link to where you can change the number the code is sent to. (Thanks @jayach for the image)Sky force 2FA.jpg

@Tracy217

If it will not let you change it then you will have to contact Sky to see if they can help you.

Re: accessing skyemail

Please let me know if you have any joy @RA284

I spent a long time on the phone to Sky yesterday with the same issue.

Looks like Yahoo have made 2-factor verification mandatory even though I never received an email or message to say that was going to be the case.

It's then completely messed up the contact details. A lot of people not getting the text codes to the mobile, even though the numbers look correct.

And they're not in the Spam queues of the Messaging app either.

Unless they find a fix, I would think Sky/Yahoo will have to disable 2-factor verification for a period of time so people can then set it up properly.

Otherwise, tens of thousands of users will have redundant email addresses.

That is clearly not acceptable when the fault lies with Sky and Yahoo.

@Tractor+Shark 2 factor authentication is voluntary for Yahoo Mail customers but mandatory for Sky Yahoo Mail users. The 2FA system used in each case is not the same.

I agree that the way it was implemented by Sky wasn't great.

From the activity here, I doubt that the number of customers not receiving the Verification Code when it is sent to the correct mobile number is small. I doubt it stretches into tens of thousands and I doubt Sky will disable 2FA for a second time.

Anyone not receiving a Verification Code when it is sent to the correct number should contact Sky.
