@Gabriel-HC The sky web site will tell you what is available, you will have to be on a City Fibre connection for symmetrical speed's as OR (openreach) are not there yet with that option currently.

Not over Openreach infrastructure: all their domestic wholesale products are hugely asymmetric, largely to preserve the 'leased line' market for expensive businesses subscriptions.  As @JimM1 indicates, if there's CityFibre infrastructure in the area then Sky has a carriage deal with them over much more symmetrical circuits.

As both Sky and BT are Openreach client ISPs, their speeds bands are essentially identical.

does it mean sky will arrange engineer switch openreach to city fibre? If I switch from BT to sky?

Re: switching to SKY from BT

@Gabriel-HC No, CF is a different and alternate Fibre company so you have to be in the area were they are present, if not and you are OR only then that is what you get from sky so the OR max package currently is 900/110Mb/s split rate or 500/70 like i have currently, sky would take care using the OTS for you if moving BT/EE to Sky, contact sky and they do it all lock stock and barrel for the move!

OR will eventually do the symmetrical Up/Down sometime in the future but that is just an unknown and how it gets applied in the future, same as going up to way higher speed's! Checker below click fill in the address details and IF available will tell you!

Re: switching to SKY from BT

I use 500mb full fibre 500mb with 70mb upload speed. I thibnk it is  asymmetrical architecture. what if I switching to sky ? sky will provide symmetrical or asymmetrical infrastructure for the service?

@Gabriel-HC

Exactly the same as BT if over Openreach infrastructure.  And yes, 500/70 is somewhat asymmetric - about 7:1

If CityFibre has infrastructure in your area then Sky would probably use that to deliver service, in which case it could be much more symmetrical.

@Gabriel-HC if your home has access to both Openreach and City Fibre networks Sky will use City Fibre who do offer symmetrical packages but note while the Openreach full fibre networks passes something around  18 miliion homes City Fibre only passess something under a third of that number.

Re: switching to SKY from BT

I made a call today, the agent stated I can't subscribe 900mb since it is for business only. They offer GBP 31 for 500mb to me, which is same as BT. The major benefit is the infrasture upgrade from asymmetrical to symmetrical. My switching interest from high to low right now.
