not right socket

Hello, my sky broadband box arrived today and is due to get activated tomorrow it came with the cable with they yellow ends (ethernet) but it doesn't fit into the socket i have in living room as the one i have is a purple one for broadband?

That suggests you are due to get an FTTP installation tomorrow, rather than remote activation.

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.
