issues using ethernet cable pc not picking details

Neither pc or laptop can detect settings required IP Address, Subnet Mask details and Default gateway details these can be entered manualy if I had those details

Note however that if DHCP from the Hub isn't working then you've probably got other problems.

If its happening when connected via ethernet this suggests the cable isnt working or it isnt connecting properly.

Is the cable you are using fully gigabit compliant with all 4 pairs wired up as Sky hubs can be very picky.
