Typically that's an ethernet cable ; )

If you really want 'better' WiFi then anything you plug in needs to be more recent hardware than that currently in use: what make and model of laptop is it?

Improving the signal reaching the laptop location may well be a better solution.

OK: a quick look indicates that's a pretty old model (Windows 8 era) with 802.11b/g/n WiFi built-in.  This suggests that an 802.11ac USB WiFi dongle might be an improvement: perhaps something like the TP-Link ARCHER T2U PLUS AC600 Dual-Band Wireless High Gain USB Adapter.

Keep in mind that it's an old laptop though, and if it's still got a spinning hard drive in it will never feel speedy.

Hopefully it's not still running Windows 8?
