iPhone 17 wifi speed
Hi,
Has anyone found an actual fix so the iPhone 17 is not slow on WiFi? When I reset phone it is fine for a couple of hours then reverts back to being slow. Sky just want to charge me another £8 a month to fix the issue with WiFi max as my router is old but aa already paying £115 a month for my package just want my WiFi to work properly! I don't have a.n issue with anyone else's router and not sure I am techie enough to change what I have unless someone can recommend a really easy router to change. Thanks

Re: iPhone 17 wifi speed
Do you have any other devices connected to your Wifi network and if so are they slow as well ?

Re: iPhone 17 wifi speed
All other devices are fine. It's a known issue with the iPhone 17 as the sky router is so old but I don't see why I need to pay another £10 a month especially when Sky actually sell this phone!

Whether Sky sell the 17 is neither here nor there, although that phone does have issues connecting to older routers. Which router do you have as it appears to be the Sky Q Hub that has the biggest problem with it (possibly the SR203 too)?
Sky WiFi Max is (I think) only available with the Sky Max router which would appear to be fine aside from the fact that it's WiFi range isn't great (hence Sky WiFi Max add-on).

Yes, I have the sky q router. I am happy to buy/change the router if I there is an idiot proof guide on how to do it but I am not prepared to pay Sky yet another £10 a month. As soon as my contracts are up with sky I'll look elsewhere as becoming much too expensive.

The Q Hub is obsolete, and Sky is swapping them out with Sky Broadband Hubs where users aren't convinced to add the WiFi Max subscription supplement

As above, contact them and ask (politely but firmly) for a new router if it is the Q Hub, they're actively replacing them and there should be no charge. I'm not even sure if they'll ask for the old router back but just in case, keep it safe for 6 months.
