Re: confused by the packetssent and recived ?
Hi @loverboi receiving more data than you send is quite normal especially if you are watching video. If its only a replacement hub there isn't a training period which applies to new connections but even that is a bit misleading your line is actually delivering all Sky have let it deliver..
You hub is hitting exactly 40Mb/s which either means you are on the slow 35Mb/s product rather than superfast or Sky have provisioned you onto the 40/10 line profile rather than the 80/20 profile most Superfast customers are on. They do this where the line has a handback speed below 40Mb/s but going by the noise margin your line could deliver quite a bit more.

Re: confused by the packetssent and recived ?
@loverboi 60Mb/s sounds about right for the maximum connection speed for your line. Openreach engineers blame routers when they cant satisfy cudtomers oddly Sky engineers blame Openreach's lines ie blame the other lot to get out of the door
The reson why your speed is fixed at 40Mb/s is because that is the line profile Sky have used to provision your line. As I explained this is Sky's policy where FTTC lines have a minimum guranteed speed under 40Mb/s. Not sure if other isps follow the same policy but Sky have done this for years.
