Can I connect Xbox series X to a wifi booster with Ethernet as it's constantly lagging

Find out more@loucook31 you can assuming the booster has an ethernet port but it is unlikely to improve latency as the booster is still connecting to the hub by wifi. Best is an etherne t cable to the hub or failing that powerline networking adapters which use mains wiring can help.

Thankyou for ur reply, Have no idea what powerline networking adapters are?, sorry! Very annoyed as sky ensured me that having wifi boost would solve problems with lagging whilst gaming!( 2 boys- don't ask!!🤪) now tied in for 18 months and it's rubbish!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@loucook31 wifi boostrrs can help, in some circumstances but using them as a wifi to ethernet bridge is unlikely to be one of them. Its all Sky can really offer but in many homes you need to buy third psrty kit for decent gaming.
If you do a search you will find powerline networking kits from companies like TP-Link, Deveolo and Netgear. They are simple to set up you need a kit with 2 adaters one plugs into a wall mains socket near the hub and you use on of the provided ethernet cables to link them. The second unit is placed near the xbox and similarly linked. In most homes they work well but plan on getting roughly 25% of the rated speed.
