That would depend on whether you are getting superfast fttc or ultrafast fttp
If the former then openreach may change the mastersocket to a more modern one
If the latter openreach will probably nef to drill to get the fibre cable through internally

It would be Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 and Sky Pay as you talk @Highlinder

Could you enter your full postal address below and post the table and the notes below after removing the address from the image

This seems to pop up when I enter the address however, when I spoke to Sky on the phone when setting this up they ensured me that they can install it and drillling was not required as I had to change from Virgin Media to Sky because of this.
I am also on the top floor of the building.

That's a strange response from the bt wholesale site. Is this a new build or recently renovated block of flats
14 Sep 2023 03:57 PM
I'm not 100% sure how new the building is, it has free wifi for the 18 flats however, I can see other people have Sky and Virgin in the building (As the signal strength is very high)
The free wifi is also dreadful and I cannot use my devices as I would usually which is the reason I am trying to find a suitable provider

Ultrafast 1 ie 150 Mbps can be delivered via g.fast over the same copper line and drilling would not be required or by full fibre fttp where drilling more than likely be required . However its difficult to work out with bt wholesale playing up

Could you try the same on bt wholesale site with a different flat that you know has sky broadband
14 Sep 2023 04:12 PM
I do think the building must be new as all the other flats say the same line on bt Wholesale
On my Sky app it shows the broadband in 3 steps, being 1.Sky Hub delivery (Which was today) 2.Sky broadband engineer visit and 3. Sky Broadband activation.
The kit was delivered today and the other 2 are sheduled for on the 16th
I don't have much knowledge of this but if a master socket is already in the room would the correct wiring not already be there to just change over?
Or if like you say Ultrafast 1 can be delivered without drilling the engineer could go that route?

Probably whats happened is your own flat has been off openreach radar due to being with virgin but sky will know due to other residents

1.Sky Hub delivery (Which was today)
On the back of the hub does it say sr203 or sr204
14 Sep 2023 04:21 PM
The back of the hub says SR204
Regarding the Virgin, I have just moved in and had to cancel the virgin installation as they don't really want any drilling, I am also only here for 10 months for my university year

Yep. Thats defo g.fast via the existing copper line. The engineer visit is to upgrade you mastersocket to a 5c mastersocket with a g.fast faceplate. Rest assured no drilling required
