Recently changed from copper wires to an optical fiber service and the hub/modem has not changed position in the house.
However I now find that my macbook in the study can no longer connect to the wifi. It was able to connect previously, so I cant understand why it now struggles, if nothing has changed??
Anyone got any ideas what to check?
Thanks
Gordon

It didn't connect using this method but I connected it manually.
Correction:-
the printer didn't actually connect, so I went searching for an answer to this. Located a post that mentioned accessing the wifi settings page, under wifi access point, untick 'synchronise 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz settings'. Then apply settings.
Doing this has allowed the printer to connect, also solving the wifi connection of my Macbook to the Wifi from the study.

What hub did you have and did you have broadband boost?
What hub do you have now and do you have broadband boost or wifi max pods?

I have a Model SR203 and still have this model, no new hub was provided.
No I do not have broadband boost, if this is an additional paid product.
Thanks

Could you post your router stats to see if the wifi is dropping . Other than that there should be no difference between part fibre and full fibre

Re: Wifi strength poorer after change from copper to optical fibre
All i can see is both wifi bands dropped just over 4 hours ago. It could be a faulty router .
Did you wifi play up at this time or is it pretty much constant?

That then is inexplicable. Macbooks are notorious for being tricky to set up with sky but not when you retain the same ssid . Could you try forgetting the ssid on your macbook and then try again
