@Carl0974

The first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.

Re: Wifi problem

Apparently there is an exchange problem in my area. The service checker said there was a problem but provided no further info. I kept going round in circles with the online stuff but eventually spoke to someone at sky who told me open reach are working on it apparently. This is the second outage in 2 months, not exactly a stable service.

Re: Wifi problem

@Carl0974 There is no such thing as a 100% guaranteed Broadband service!

Re: Wifi problem

@Carl0974 It is always difficult when you rely on wireless wi-fi connected fixed landline Broadband in a poor signal area for mobile, know exactly how you feel, have to go about half a mile to get a reasonable mobile signal so not able to tether when issue!

Re: Wifi problem

Have had a text stating the issue in my area has been fixed however still no BB connection. Have restarted and gone through everything but no joy. Now waiting for an engineer to look at an 'external problem'. Sometime between 2 and 5 days.

Re: Wifi problem

@Carl0974 That's the problem, don't know what you have, how you are connected, so just now way to advise, Off and On but leaving the hub for a good hour is the normal and see if the hub connect;s and maybe also paths through a different route, but with Exchange issue's if you cannot get past or connected to it you are not going anywhere quickly.

So you just leave the hub on and when it connect's and picks up you are good to go!
