Wifi on Iphone

Wifi works fine on laptop and other devices such as google nest etc.

The issue is both mine and my partners iphones that the majoirty of websites and apps wont load. I can use google to search but then when you click on the link it doesnt load, the same applies if I type in the website address.

Also some apps seem to work like Facebook and Insta but not others like my banking apps for example.

I have tried all the suggestions I could find on the forum, such as using Google DNS, turning off IP tracking etc.

I did managed to get websites to load for an hour or so the other day after changing some of the above, but despite not changing any settings its gone back to not loading anything.

Any assitnace would be great, or would it be possible to cancel the contract with Sky if they are unable to provide wifi to our main devices in the property?

@MarcD1 cancelling a contract when beyond the cooling off period is down to Sky's discretion you would have to raise a formal complaint co-operate with trying to solve the issue and for them to accept it cannot be fixed and either they or the indepedent arbitrator allowing you to cancel.

If other devices can reaxh the samecsites it is highly unlikely to be an issue with the Sky connection but a config issue on the phones. However check the setting for Sky Broadband Shiels which can block traffic if set to too low an age setting the account holder can change the setting in the My Sky app or website.

I would also suggest chcking the settings for the Sky WiFi connection as things like using a Private WiFi address and limiting tracking can affect some websites.

Re: Wifi on Iphone

Thanks.

Since my message I have setup a deco to link in the house to improve the signal etc, and when connected to this the phone works perfect.

However we have a outside garden room with an Ethernet cable running from the sky modem to another modem in the garden room and still have the same issues. So it seems to be something with sky direct connection to the phone, but can't work out what is causing it. Any ideas besides limiting IP address and manual DNS, as these are things I have tried.
