Wifi not working

WiFi poor for a few days, now not working at all - Dorset area. Checks are coming back fine but it's like the hub is not connected at all even though all lights are fine.

@MJSTO Is the wireless connection showing bars with the ! exclamation mark, wireless connected but no internet symbol on all your devices?

Re: Wifi not working

Yes, it says 'no internet connection' while being connected to the hub.

Re: Wifi not working

I'm a new customer connected today and exactly the same thing is happening. It shows all three bars on the menu and the sky test says everything is connected but my browser says I am not connected to the Internet. It keeps dropping out. If it carries on like this, I'm going to go back to using my phone as a hotspot and get rid of sky

Re: Wifi not working

@MJSTO Have you tried to run the test linked below when you have that condition?

Try running the line test here to see if any faults are found:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is good click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If you’re still having problems you may need to call Sky to report it. Dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline (if it’s still working).

@Hungrydog You may be slightly different as new today, sky have up until midnight to sort out the connection to your line!

Re: Wifi not working

Yep, still broken. I will ring them In the morning. I think it's an FTTC issue perhaps?

Re: Wifi not working

@MJSTO You may wish to try powering off the sky Hub, but it will need to be off for more than 1 hour to get a new IP, you can run a www.whatismyipaddress.com before and after to see that it changes values!

Re: Wifi not working

Hi all. An open reach engineer is going to look at the FTTC as suspected.
