Wifi issues

Had Sky installed today. Ultrafast 1. WiFi drops out in room next to where the hub is, cannot get WiFi in my kitchen. Daughter cannot get in her bedroom... I expected to be able to have WiFi in all rooms of the house?.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.

Thank you for your response. That's shocking though as I went with sky as I saw the wall to wall guarantee. So this is mis sold then. If I don't get WiFi in all my rooms surely something needs to be done as they have sold it on the basis of wall to wall wifi?

Actually without the extra cost supplements the 'guarantee' is of a month's refund of the broadband subscription if there isn't the claimed wireless coverage.  Personally I've always disliked this as a marketing technique, but I'd observe other ISPs also charge extra for 'better' WiFi.
