Wifi issues in large house

I have had Sky Wifi for about 3 years and performance has never been as good as with BT, the system is router plus 2 boosters and my TV setup is Sky Q. THe house is 4500sqft over 4 floors with the main router on the first floor in the corner. 

I tried to upgrade to Sky Max Hub with one booster but pretty much got nowhere in terms of coverage and am now looking to significantly improve coverage, including to the garage. I cant really get much sense out of Sky who really just want to sell me things. 

What do people reccommend in terms of upgrading? i am thinking a system seperate to the sky solution - is there a relatively easy plug in option. Also i wondered if a Sky Glass upgrade would assist at all? I currently have a mani sky Q box and 3 mini sky q boxesacross 3 of the 4 floors.

Glass is a network client device: it has no way to improve wireless coverage (and in fact won't work satisfactorily without it)

Once you moved to a Max Hub you'll have lost the hotspot function of the Q Mini boxes.
